Reinstall Realtek High Definition Audio the original Realtek UI (uncheck "Realtek Audio Manager" during setup). | | Crackling or popping sounds | Go to Control Panel → Sound → Playback device → Properties → Advanced. Change default format to 24-bit, 48000 Hz (Studio Quality). Disable exclusive mode. | | Dolby icon missing after reboot | Run services.msc , find "Dolby DAX API Service" and set to Automatic (Delayed Start) . | | Installation fails with "0x8000FFFF" | This is a Windows Installer cache error.
